Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actor from the United States. Her work has earned her recognition for her TV and film performances since the early 1980s. The awards she has won are two Golden Globe Awards, sixteen NAACP Image Awards as well as nominations for Academy Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett, who was raised in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt, who was born at New York New York, is well-known as an actor. Bassett moved with her sister to St. Petersburg Florida at age five in order to be near their mother and father, who had separated from their father. Bassett was a fan of James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play while she was still in highschool and realized that it was acting she wanted to do. In 1980, Bassett was graduated from Yale University New Haven Connecticut with a degree in African American studies. She earned a diploma from the Yale School of Drama. At Yale she met Courtney B. Vance a co-actor and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. BA. (Afro-American Studies) in 1980. A Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett has been cast in one the leading roles of Ramonda in the action-adventure movie i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
